microSD{HC|XC} cards - Used or tried by customers

Post by Arwen »

End-users,
Feel free to reply with information on your microSDxx card(s), known to work or not.
Please specify which fitlet model, and enough details about your microSDxx card(s)
for someone else to purchase.

Some notes:
  • If you have measured speed results, please add.
  • Gentoo Linux did not seem to like me changing them out live, (even un-mounted). Had to reboot.
  • The plastic opening in my fitlet-iA10 was a bit too small. Had to widen it slightly with a screw driver, (on the inside).

Here are the 2 microSD cards I have used successfully;

My fitlet model - fitlet-iA10

Vendor - Micro Center
Model - Generic
Type - microSDHC
Size - 32GB
Speed - Class 10

Vendor - SanDisk
Model - Ultra
Type - microSDXC
Size - 128GB
Speed - Class 10

Just got the semi-permanent SD card for my fitlet, to be used for both OS backups. And
as alternate boot media, in case I have software problems booting my mSATA drive
after an OS update.

My fitlet model - fitlet-iA10

Vendor - Lexar
Model - High-Performance, LSDMI64GBBNL633R
Type - microSDXC
Size - 64GB
Speed - Class 10, 633x
Tested read speed - 22MBps

Performs faster if used with SDXC to USB 3.0 adapter.
