adding msata hardware support

Post by alban »

Hi,

I tried to put a msata SSD into my my "Fit-PC 3 LP barebone 4G". But the card does not fit well as a smd component prevents it from being pull down. My board is probably a pre "rev 2.3". My Fit-PC has S/N: 00232-120308-00001 on its back.

Does my Fit-PC particular model support msata? Is there a way to add support myself: is there a simple hardware trick I could try to make msata work?

Note: I tried flashing the newest bios and enabled its msata option without success.

The mSATA support is a hardware feature, that appears on a system boards ver 2.3 and above. It can't be added on a previous board versions.
