DisplayPort resolution 640x480

Post by nicholaspark »

I have two fit-PC3 and I'm using it with dual monitors with DP to HDMI adapter.
One of them have some problem in resolution.
It worked well at first but suddenly it's resolution was fixed "640x480".
I tried to change to normal resolution "1920x1080".
But impossible to do it.
I checked that DP to HDMI Adapter have no problem.
Do I have to return it for repair? or any tips to solve this problem?
Sorry language is Korean...

To determine if that is a hardware problem, can you load some live OS (for example Ubuntu or Linux Mint) and check if the issue persist?

Hi,
Do you have any solution?
I run into the same issue with windows 7 and the video driver from Compulab.

The two monitors are the same model (Samsung sms24a450, only VGA and DVI inputs), but the one on the DP wrote:
General non PNP display
And the resolution fixed in 640x480.

UPDATE:
The client used Displayport-HDMI cable and HDMI-DVI adapter (cheap one, model not known).
It seems testing with a monitor with HDMI input (with DP-HDMI cable) the result is the same: the resolution is only 640x480 and not possible to change.
The DP-HDMI cable is a DeLock one (I have no further information about this).

Thanks, István

SOLVED:

Just download the latest catalyst driver or autodetect utility from AMD and it will work.
