Undervolt protection?

Post by silverdirk »

I saw a few posts in the fit-pc2 secton regarding dead units after using them to drain a battery. I assume this means fit-pc2 doesn't handle undervolt conditions?

Does fit-pc3 have undervolt protection, or do I need to add a little custom circuitry in order to install it in a car?

In general, do you expect that fit-pc3 has enough power conditioning to handle the irregular voltages of car electronics?

Additionally, how much amperage can the fit-pc3 supply to the USB ports? The standard is 500ma per port, but can fit-pc3 supply this for all 8 USB ports simultaneously? Any ideas whether it would work to use the USB ports for things like an in-car phone charger at higher-than-standard current draw?

Thanks!

Hello

1. The FitPC3 will stop working if the voltage will drop bellow 9 volts. There will be no damage to the FitPC3 in that case
2. Each of the USB ports can provide up to a 1A of a current.
3. We haven't test yet the FitPC3 performance as a IVT.

Thank you for asking
