Hi there,
I would like to know if there is any other functionality (that is other than AHCI) which is not supported under Windows XP. This might seem like a silly question, but I am asking it after having read the following post:
fit-PC3 >> Windows on fit-PC3 >> Unknown Audio Device in XP

Thank you very much for your help

Windows XP compatibility
Re: Windows XP compatibility
I have successfully installed Windows XP Pro SP3 on a PC3 Low Power. I installed all of the latest drivers and have set it to IDE mode in the bios. The problem is the device manager shows an unknown USB device as not having drivers installed. This triggers the hardware detection wizard every time I boot the machine. All USB2 and 3 ports are functioning. Please advise on how to rectify this problem.

Re: Windows XP compatibility
mbirger,
I have downloaded and installed all of the latest drivers from the fit-pc wiki. I am still having the same problem. The device manager shows an "unknown USB device" as not having drivers installed. This triggers the "new hardware detection wizard" every time I boot the machine. Is there something I am missing?

Re: Windows XP compatibility
Do you have any external USB device connected that requires a driver?
I understand that all USB ports function properly.
BTW, do you have a driver for TI USB3 Host controller installed?
Anyway, what is the issue besides this Win XP wizard pop up, if all your HW operate properly?
