Squeezing the last little bit of z510 performance on W7

Post by vtailor »

I have a new z510 Windows 7 setup that gets lipsync and continuous motion in full screen, but not always in part screen. The basic ingredients:

1. Turn off all the video effects and leave the old school theme in play, square corners and all. You get some video effects as bulges in the toolbar.

2. Use the EMGD driver from the fit-pc2 downloads. At least you can get proper 16:9 that way, with a 1360x768 resolution. (Use the msconfig program to turn off the Intel driver on startup, or it will keep changing your resolution to the "recommended" and inefficient 1920x1080.)

3. Set the realtek sound driver to CD sound to minimize load on the driver. (Well, try the default setting if you insist.)
