Redhat Enterprise 6.1

Post by cyberbaud »

I successfully installed RHEL6.1 on a fit-pc2i. It seems to be working fine, except for the video driver. It works with the "vesa" driver in X11, but only unaccelerated and very slowly. A native driver for the "poulsbo" chipset seems to be missing from the distribution. I tried to compile the driver from the various sources that turn up via google, but ultimately failed.

Is there a way to get this driver added for RHEL6.1? It would be nice if Compulabs could provide a opensource driver for linux that can be compiled for various distributions.

Thanks.

Display drivers can be provided only by the chip vendor - Intel in this case. Of course, if Intel makes such a driver available to CompuLab we will share it.
