Installing IEGD 10.3.1

Post by Stough »

I attempted to install IEGD 10.3.1 under XP SP3 by running Utilities\Setup. However, each time I got
"All the components are not installed correctly. Please try installing again"

What is the correct way to install this driver?

Hi.

Before you install the IEGD, you have to uninstall the previous video driver.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried to install IEGD 10.3.1 again. This time I ran setup from the utility directory, and said yes to un-install the current driver. This seemed to work. However, when I ran setup again to install the new driver I got the same error about components not being installed. Also, when I rebooted XP came up in a very low resolution mode. The system noticed that there was no video drive, and downloaded one (from Intel?).

Am I missing something about how to install IEGD 10.3.1?

Hi.

We need more information about your system in order to reconstruct the problem:

1. fit-PC2 revision.
2. BIOS date.
3. Did you get the fit-PC2 with preinstalled WinXP?

Leonid,

1. My unit is revision 1.21, not the new 1.4

2. The bios date is 12/24/09

3. I bought it without a disk, and installed XP Pro myself

Thanks for looking into this.

Hi.

I cann't reproduce the problem.

I installed the IEGD driver successfully on the fit-PC2 rev 1.21 with WinxXP Pro SP3.

Here my test scenario:
1. Install WinXP Pro
2. Install SP3
3. Install chipset driver
4. Install IEGD
