Display is blank using special software

Post by Bernd »

Hello,
i am using a special visualisation software for a Temperature Datalogger called smart graph from Company "Lufft". One of the feature of this SW kills the display (flickering and total cut off)
The contact to the Software provider has no success because the function
is properly on an other PC
According to the software are no special requirements, but i iask the
hotline - answer is outstanding
Now i get the answer: this software requires

Processor: Intel Core i3
RAM: min.2GB
min free diskspace: 2GB

The graphic driver of the FIT is up to date
I cant believe that the Fit Pc2i has conflict with that software

What can i do? with my RAM and Diskspace its OK, but i don't no the
differences between the Atom proceesor and i3

Thanks for help
Bernd

Most likely you're hitting a bug in the graphics driver. Try disabling any 3D desktop effects, or try a different driver. I've heard that EMGD is supposed to be quite ok.

The system requirements they are talking about has nothing to do with your bug.

Hi prj
thank you for your tips
i have tried the EMGD driver, but its nearly the same effect when i am using the conflict creating software features. My monitor switched off and must reset the computer
About 3D -How can i disabling 3D effects? I did not checked this.
If i use standard vga driver the function of the program is ok but its an unusable resolution to work with it.

It seems that i have post this topics to the wrong operation system but i do not now how to transfer to Windows 7 subtopics

I have very little experience with Windows 7 on Fit-PC2s but a Google search gives me this: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows- ... ows-vista/

Disabling Aero might help. But if it doesn't, there isn't much you can do because of the proprietary nature of your OS (insert obligatory free software rant here).

Good luck
