Can one use opengl hw graphics acceleration?

Post by beyossi »

Hi,

I purchased a fit-pc2 board, assuming i will be able to develop nice graphics QT based applications (either 4.5.3 or 4.6).

Now when going over this forum (and other links all over the web) it looks like I will not be able to use the HW accelerator due to driver issues.

Can someone explain: Can I use HW acceleration on the fit-pc2 ?, either using ubuntu or windows xp (though directx looks bad with QT).

If yes then what are the steps for having opengl interface for upper applications?

Thanks for your help,
Yossi

OpenGL is supported under Ubuntu and to some degree with the IEGD drivers under XP. It is not supported with the GMA500 drivers under XP.
DirectX is suppoerted.
