Hi all,
Does anyone know if the above connectors can be used to connect to standard USB devices? The connector socket marked USB7 is next to the SATA riser, and the wireless connector is on the underside of the motherboard. Both have a small, 6 wire connector socket (the wireless connector also fits the USB 7 socket).
my company is using the fitPC2i as the basis for an appliance, and space is extremely limited, so we don't want to use the two micro USB sockets, as standard USB connectors stick out too far. If we can use internal motherboard headers, we can save a lot of space.
So...anyone any idea, or will I need to contact the manufacturer direct?
Thanks,
Paul

Re: USB7 and Wireless Connectors/heades on the motherboard
We are the manufacturer
fit-PC2i has an internal USB connector on the bottom side of the motherboard. CompuLab can supply an adaptor from the USB connector to standard USB A female that you can use if you do not install a hard disk.
Please email sales@fit-pc.com

Thanks irads!
Is the connector on the bottom the one the wireless adapter uses? And is that the same pin-out as the USB7 socket beside the SATA riser?
Thanks,
Paul

I work with Paul.
Could you tell us the part number for the connectors B8 and P40 please, as we need to make up special cables of appropriate length.
Also, do you have a special connector to connect to the USB Header pins P32 that can be used as well as an installed HDD (using the supplier riser ?).
Finally, I am slightly confused as to the number of USB ports available on the board -- your documentation says 7 but there are P1 and P2 (2), B8 and P40 (2), U27 (2) and P32 (2), which is 8 ??? Is one of these connectors a duplicate ?

Please tell me which revision of the FitPC2i do you have? P40 and p32 both have USB7 interface

Re: USB7 and Wireless Connectors/heades on the motherboard
Revision 1.2
USB 6 is the connector that connects to the wireless card
There is a USB 7 connector of the same type on the reverse side of the board
There are also 8 pins holes next to the battery labelled P32 / USB3 and USB 7 above the holes, so I am guessing that USB 7 has two connectors ??

We use Aces P/N 87213-0600G. P32 has USB7 interface, ans so P40

Thanks -- sorry I didn't read your previous email correctly.
With regard to the dual USB connector P32, do you recommend a particular male connector for this that can be used at the same time as the SATA riser card ?
