Issues with Microsoft Modern Keyboard (bluetooth)

I am running my Mintbox 3 Basic with Windows 10 Pro and Mint in Dualboot.
I have paired my Microsoft Modern Keyboard with Windows via bluetooth.
it intermittently will not respond, respond with delay or will enter characters multiple times (Hellllllllllllloooooooooooo).
After some googling I tried to reset the Bios to default vaues. The problem is still present (intermittently).
is this a known issue? Any suggestions?
