I would like to prepare USB device in order to allow boot from USB

What a purpose of such thing? You can just download Ubuntu Live image.
Or run search in Google:

Well, but what the difference between image for fitlet2 and any other device? If you check the BIOS update guide it, for example, contains bootable USB image for performing this procedure.
