My Fitlet-i has been crashing semi-regularly when under modest load (e.g., decoding an MPEG video), so I've been checking into the RAM and mSATA SSD I purchased for it. The RAM I have is Kingston "KVR16LS11/4 4GB DDR3 1600 1.35V CL11", which your spreadsheet says is not supported on the Fitlet, but the spreadsheet also says that it's 1.5V. Are the crashes I'm seeing consistent with using the wrong RAM, or would an unsupported RAM cause the Fitlet not to work at all? In other words, is it likely that I can resolve my crashes by replacing the RAM?
FYI, I also have a Crucial M550 CT128M550SSD3 mSATA SSD installed, which is mentioned as running hotter than most in another post (and, I suspect, another likely cause of crashes). I'll be asking about that in another thread.

First I suggest to run memtest on your fitlet. If it passes then crashes are not likely related to RAM.
For mSATA please set LPM (link power) to min-power. It should reduce temperature significantly.

Thanks, Irad. I'll get a copy of memtest and run it for a few hours. (I'm running openSUSE, which doesn't have memtest installed by default.)
Regarding my mSATA SSD, where/how do I set LPM?
By the way, I should probably say what I mean by "crash." The system freezes, and pressing the power button on the Fitlet puts me in the BIOS's UI. I have to unplug the Fitlet and plug it back in to get a full boot.

Never mind. I found it in
http://www.fit-pc.com/wiki/index.php/Fi ... ux_Mint_17. For openSUSE 13.2, though, I added the setting of min_power on boot to /etc/init.d/boot.local, rather than /etc/pm/power.d/sata_alpm. Not sure that was the best place to put it, but /etc/pm/power.d/sata_alpm didn't work.

Crucial CT102464BF160B was tested by customer and is shown as supported by fitlet:
