So are the Windows 7 drivers fine for Windows 8.1? I see nothing under Windows 8 here:

And I can have an mSata drive to boot from, but still have room for a normal 2.5" SATA drive at the same time? For example:

Yes, Win 7 drivers are good for Windows 8.1 also.
The 2nd answer is also yes - the systems supports mSATA and 2.5'' drive simultaneously.
