Can the FIT PC2 be booted from mini PCI-E with a ssd drive in the slot ??
Just curious if anyone has headed down this path. I am aware that with WES (Windows Embedded Standard) it would be possible to boot the Fit PC2 from USB 2.0. I also am aware that WES will not boot from Micro SD do to limitations on the software, even if the bios supports booting from micro SD and SSD.
1. Does the bios support booting from mini PCI-E ??
2. If yes, is the PCI-E port bootable with WES ??
Fit PC2 Bootable from mini PCI express
Re: Fit PC2 Bootable from mini PCI express
Many of the mini-PCIe storage cards in fact use USB interface. This will work.
True PCIe interface was not tested on fit-PC2.

Re: Fit PC2 Bootable from mini PCI express
Can you give examples of Mini PCIe storage cards that use the USB interface internally. I would love to stick a 32GB in the PCIe slot and boot windows XP or 7 from it.

Normally Windows does not boot from USB devices.
