USB 3.0 chipset

Post by goobering »

I'm looking to use an Intense PC with a BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle. Unfortunately the Shuttle is *extremely* picky about the USB 3 chipset it gets plugged into. Could you please advise as to what USB 3.0 chipset the Intense PC uses?

I just bought my Intense and built it up over the last month. I think that Block diagram is 1st gen with Intense PCs using the Intel series 6 chipset. My new Intense use the Intel Series QM77 chipset. The USB 3.0 is provide by the Intel Chipset directly and use the Intel USB 3.0 XCHI extensibility Stack driver for Win7x64.

You have a IntensePC Pro model, that features the QM77 chipset. Latest Intense PC system board also features Intel's USB3 controller.
