Re: Display problems caused by heat?
Well, 60 deg C for core is very cold. On the other hand, it is strange that you measure 54 deg C on the case while 60 reported on the core. During nominal operating condition it is simply impossible. Some of the measurements are wrong. You can RMA it at any time. Of course pay attention to warranty...

Re: Display problems caused by heat?
It seems the heat goes up with xubuntu 14.04, not 13.04. I just installed kernel version 3.14.8-031408-generic, but it doesn't seem to help. The system is almost idle but case temperature is 54 deg C (measured by Fluke 561 IR thermometer). Returning the device is a problem because it is my primary c...

Display problems caused by heat?
I am running xubuntu 14.04 on Intense PC Pro with 16 GB RAM, a 500 GB SSD/SATA disk and a 240 GB mSATA disk. After I installed the latest updates and rebooted xubuntu, I started having problems with Chrome web browser. After running it for 15 or 30 minutes, display updates begin to fail: only parts ...

Re: SSD for Mintbox2
I am using a Samsung 840 Pro SSD and just installed a Samsung 840 EVO mSATA disk, both are working just fine. I installed xubuntu 14.04 on the mSATA disk. I'll do the same to my second IntensePC soon.

Re: Audio anomalies (linux)
The problem is caused by the wireless lan driver. I have disabled WIFI and sound works ok. I haven't upgraded to latest Mint/xubuntu, so I don't know if the driver has been fixed or not.

Re: Linux pulseaudio S/PDIF surround setup on Intense PC?
With xubuntu 12.10, SPDIF just worked. When I upgraded to 13.04, it died. Analog audio still works, though.

Audio anomalies (linux)
Hi, I'm running the Linux Mint supplied on the hard disk with Intense PC and Mint Mate 14 on the i7 version of Intense PC. When playing music from Spotify (the linux client) or Youtube or VLC, the sound is mostly ok. However, every now and then it sounds like the sample rate was temporarily changed ...

Re: Wireless not working
I installed xubuntu 12.10 on Intense PC Pro and the wireless interface is not available (ifconfig -a etc.). I tried to install the driver package, but got this: # dpkg -i /tmp/rtlwifi-dkms_0007.0809.2012.deb (Reading database ... 166745 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking rtlwifi-d...
