Re: How to install the BIOS update on Ubuntu
You need to use the Image Writer to write "128MBDOS.img" file, not the BIOS file itself. After the image file is written, re-mount the USB stick and then add the BIOS files to it via copying.

Re: IDE and SATA to USB adapter
Did you dismount it last time after you've done working with it?
I mentioned it in one of my previous posts:

Re: video problems- installing linux
Can you install Windows temporarily on Fit-PC2, and check whether this converter is working correctly with Windows?

Re: BIOS settings for Linux on fit-PC2i
For Linux Mint or Ubuntu choose "DOS" / "WinXP", respectively. Other Linux versions could require other settings but it's hard to tell since you did not mention the Linux version you are going to install

If your DVI->VGA adapter costs less than 40$, then it's not going to work.
FitPC2/i do not output analog signal at all, so in order to connect them to VGA monitor, you need to use a DVI->VGA converter (for example, Fit-VGA):

Re: Just some questions
The slot is miniSD, not a standard SD. Check whether your card is miniSD.
SSD will offer better performance but no dramatically, because the controller in FitPC2 is IDE and the SATA connector is implemented via IDE-to-SATA bridge. It's up to you whether to keep the regular disk or upgrade to SSD.

Hi Denis,Denis wrote:In general you can monitor CPU temperature via /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZ00/temperature, but on fit-PC2 it shows 0. We are working on this.
Can you please inform when the fix is planned for that?
Is it a BIOS update or kernel patch?
