Thank you matt for this feedback. I'm glad Fedora do allow direct SD installation (once SD card modules loaded). I think Mandriva One has the correct modules loaded by default because it can read and write to SD without any config step. The point is that it doesn't allow installation on that kind o...

Well I've done this (mandriva) : /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nowifi blacklist rt3070sta blacklist rt2800usb blacklist rt2x00usb blacklist rt2x00lib blacklist mac80211 blacklist cfg80211 After reboot : no wifi LED blinking 8-) There's only rt2870sta loaded, maybe it's in the initrd, but it isn't a big ...

You can disable WiFi from the operating system. :? ahem... I haven't enabled/configured anything wifi on my mandriva linux, but the wifi LED is blinking. :| And I don't want wifi at all... Well, it's ok at first... but when I switch back to text mode it is out of range again
(and back to X11 it's ok again)
Maybe the fitVGA doesn't tell the monitor's specifications to the system ?

Most likely the SD card is not configured to be bootable correctly. Well... If you could elaborate about how it should be configured :| I think my BIOS settings are ok (see above).
