Re: The Fit-PC2 as a high-end audio PC
Hi Per, this is the sort of information I was looking for. I assume when you are using it together with the stated amp (I hope the analog version and not the USB version) you really care for good quality. At home I am using schäfer & rompf as motor for the speakers. for my intended application as ca...

Re: The Fit-PC2 as a high-end audio PC
Does really no one use the fit PC as the main audio source? I am really interested in knowing more about the experienced quality of the analog output of the fit PC. If the analog audio quality is similar or identical to my mac-mini (last generation PowerPC) then it will definitely make it into the s...

Re: The Fit-PC2 as a high-end audio PC
Hi Dave,
unfortunately the links do not work anymore
As I intend to use the fit as the center piece of a car pc/audio system I am very much interested in the audio quality of the built in D/A.
thanks for feedback

Re: Fit-PC2 inside DIN35 rack?
hi, put the relay box into a metallic enclosure (ferromagnetic material) and use if possible shielded cabling with cable shields connected to gooooooood GND. Ideally using sleeve feed-thru into the box. then I do not see any problem at all in this application. make sure everything has big surface GN...

Power on/off considerations and USB power in off state
I would definitely like to have a remote on/off input together with the power supply connector (I know it consumes space, maybe a 3.5 mm connector would help here) 3rd pin for remote on if 12V is applied, bios configurable reaction when the pin goes to 0V. This would help in unattended installations...
Re: Car PC?
thanks for the feedback.
It also seems that the win version is available with a 250 G disk, so it seems to be easy if one knows the outline dimension of the disk.

Re: Using Fit-PC as CarPC - Power options
Hi all, I am also intending to use the fit as a car PC and the following might help thanks to it's low power consumption. maybe a foolish idea, but why not give it a try (as I do not have one yet I am just assuming). Power to the fit needs some filtering anyways, so why not take one of these big cap...
Re: Car PC?
Hello Everybody, I am also thinking about using this device as the center of my car entertainment system. Power filtering should not be such an issue, the auto-on comes in handy but would not be so 'tragic' using linux. Power down could be achieved with a delayed interruption of the 12 VDC. Is there...
