Re: USB dilemma
I should have posted a follow-up message here as I have since fixed my USB problems. The solution was to install a powered USB hub and everything works just fine.

Re: HDMI / LG problem
I have been viewing the bios on the LG TV screen before. The HDMI port on the TV no longer works that is clear. I have tried to connect it to two other computers with the same result. I explained about the bios because it was when trying to get into the bios the HDMI port died. It was perhaps just a...

HDMI / LG problem
Hi, I have been using an LG LCD TV - 22LS4R which has an HDMI input successfully for 9 months or so with my fit-PC2, but last night the picture just disappeared. I connect using a standard HDMI to HDMI cable. I have 3 cables and have tried all of them. I was connecting a LAN switch and wanted to get...

Gigabit network drive speed
Has anyone tested the speed difference between an external hard drive connected via a USB 2.0 port compared to a basic NAS connected via the Gigabit Ethernet port (like this one for example http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.209-1393.aspx)

Re: USB Problems
I was being stubborn and wanted it to work without a powered hub. Got a powered hub yesterday and it works fine now, I can even have two 500GB portable drives connected at the same time. The amps might be a good idea to document with the fit-PC2 more clearly as it is very common to have large USB po...

Re: USB Problems
The keyboard works with the dongle a bit further away. The HD is still a problem. When I connect directly on the fit-PC2 it works most of the time now, but with a USB hub (unpowered) it never seems to work. I have tried 3 different 4 port hubs. The hubs and HD combinations work fine on my two netboo...

Re: Audio - connection to TV via analogue cable
Another fix is to remove the realtek drivers and let Windows 7 install it's own excellent standard HD sound drivers.

Re: The Fit-PC2 as a high-end audio PC
Hi Kuno, I use it as my main audio source, and I can assure you that it is fantastic. The Intel HD audio is possibly a well kept "secret", read about it here: http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/hdaudio.htm Don't use the audio drivers shipped with the fit-PC2, but use instead the default drivers in...

Re: The Fit-PC2 as a high-end audio PC
Hi Y'all For best hi-fi audio at home, in a car, or on a boat, etc. get a bantam T-amp. Not only is it comparable to or better than most 1000 euro + amps, it is also extremely cheap. You can go for a standard 3.5 audio cable model, or a DAC/USB version. http://www.templeaudio.net/index.html (I have ...

Re: Harddisk getting hot
I don't know if failed hard drives would typically be reported but mine failed. I installed a Samsung 500GB HDD in my new fit-PC2 and it failed after 2 weeks. I now don't trust the claim that they shouldn't fail, and use an older 160GB HDD as my internal drive and keep only Windows 7 on it. All othe...
