I'm fairly new to Linux and I was interested in getting the updated driver but I have a wireless set up. I can get the driver on a different system and bring it over on a USB thumb drive. The wireless in 9.10 drops after about 30 seconds after booting so doing it via the network is a little problema...

I've installed 9.10 and it seems to be working well with the exception of the wireless. I've installed 8.04 LTS and WinXP and the wireless work fine it both of them with no drop outs. Jens, Worked well, thanks for the help. No, the wireless drivers are not available in the generic install. I recommend downloading all the packages manually from http://fit-pc2.com/download/ubuntu/dists/hardy/binary/ and then transfer them to the fitpc via usb pen drive. Then do a sudo dpkg -i linux...
